VATICAN CITY - At 11 a.m. this morning, in the Concistory Hall
of the Vatican Apostolic Palace, Pope Benedict XVI held an
ordinary public consistory during the celebration of midday
prayers for the canonization of Blesseds:
STANISŁAW SOŁTYS
[KAZIMIERCZYK], professed priest of the Order of
Canons Regular of the Lateran;
Alfred Bessette (in religion:
André), professed religious of the Congregation of
Holy Cross;
JUANA JOSEFA CIPITRIA BARRIOLA
(in religion: CÁNDIDA MARÍA OF JESUS), founder of the
Congregation of the Daughters of Jesus;
Maria
ELlen MacKillop
(in religion:
Mary
of the Cross), founder of the Congregation of the
Sisters Saint Joseph of the Sacred Heart;
Giulia
Salzano, founder of the Congregation of the Catechist
Sisters of the Sacred Heart; and,
CAMILLA da Varano (in religion:
BATTISTa), professed religious of the Order of Saint
Clare.
The canonization ceremony for Bb. will take place on Sunday,
17 October 2010, in Rome.
